This Kanto chef knife, which is designated a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as well by Chiba Prefecture, is the only one of its kind in Japan in that it is completely hand-made. A carefully-crafted hand-made Western knife created by an artisan using the traditional techniques of a blacksmiths passed down since a long time ago.
Made using shirogami no.1, the highest grade of steel which is hard to obtain these days. An extremely rare, supreme item worked on by a one-of-a-kind chef knife artisan in Japan.

・Steel rusts easily, so take proper care when it comes to water and moisture.
・In order to use hygienically, be sure to wash with water after using and then wipe away moisture well with a dry towel.
・Should rust appear, it is necessary to sharpen using a grindstone etc. so, in regards to knife handling & storing, please kindly check yourself before purchasing.
