These tongs are made by Shinichiro Saito, who holds the title of craftsmanship expert/master of central Niigata Prefecture. Metal tableware spoon manufacturing master Shinichiro Saito has been a consistent, important craftsman for many years who is involved in the making of universal design cultlery, from die and mold production to finishing. He has also been successful in pioneering and developing the automation of metal tableware manufacturing. These practical, gorgeous and delicately designed tongs cannot be created without manual "tsubo-okoshi mold-making techniques/manufacturing techniques". These tongs are the fruits of the traditional techniques of Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture.
