Kokeshi, wooden dolls with simplified bodies, are traditional craftworks in Japan. All dressed up to go out. She is wearing a purple and white coat with wisterias. It matches beautifully with the dark green kimono. The orange at the neck creates a lovely contrast. Created by Masaei Fujikawa, receiver of the Prime Minister's award.
